Thinking about heading out for a bite to eat today? The Old Spot pub on Bath Avenue have come with a clever idea for their diners on Sunday. Obviously sick of customers being glued to their smartphones, seemingly ignoring each other at the dinner table, or Instagramming their meals instead of eating them, they've concocted a glorious plan.
According to their Facebook page, if your entire table turn off and hand in their phones before Sunday lunch you'll receive 20% off the bill! Pretty unreal, no? More focus on conversations and good company than uploading Snapchats so that your extended social circle know just what a great day you're having. Restaurants of Dublin should take note - let's get back to basic human contact!
