‘Santa’s Grotto Closed Before We Could Get To The Top Of The Queue— My Nephew Was Devastated’

“My favourite Dublin Bus moment happened a few years ago when I took my nephew on the 17a to Blanchardstown Shopping Centre to meet Santa. 

“He was five-years-old at the time and really excited to meet good old St Nick, but when we got there the queue was too long and Santa’s Grotto closed before we could get to the top — my nephew was devastated. 

“When we were leaving the shopping centre the little guy was still upset, until we caught the bus home and he saw that the driver was wearing a Santa hat and a big white beard. He even gave us a ho ho ho! My nephew was delighted.

“My nephew still talks about the day he met Santa on the 17a.”
