This Dublin College Is The Best In Ireland For Employability

Darragh Berry

The QS Graduate Employability Rankings for 2019 came out on Tuesday and it shows that one Irish college is miles ahead of the rest.

If you’re going to or just graduated from University College Dublin, you’ll be delighted to hear that UCD has been named the most employable college in Ireland.

UCD is the only Irish college that has been placed in the top 100 in the world coming in at a decent 74th place.

It’s 30 places ahead of Trinners (104), University of Limerick (237), and National University of Ireland Galway and University College Cork whose places aren’t defined but come in the 301 – 500 bracket.

UCD is said to be “Ireland’s most globally engaged university” according to the rankings and states that its campus and college is “renowned for its welcome as much as it is for its vibrancy”.

UCD is also ranked within the top 1% of higher education institutions worldwide.

It comes as no shock that the top four colleges are in the USA while Cambridge and Oxford also make up the top:

  • Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA
  • Stanford University, USA
  • University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA
  • Harvard University, USA
  • The University of Sydney, Australia
  • The University of Melbourne, Australia
  • University of Cambridge, UK
  • University of California, Berkeley, USA
  • Tsinghua University, China
  • University of Oxford, UK
