With a huge influx of tourists expected to hit Dublin this Easter weekend, the average price of hotel rooms have gone up by 60%.
Hotel website Trivago has revealed that it will cost an average of €199 to stay in a double room during the weekend, while in February the average was €124.
According to TheJournal.ie, the Friday night’s average cost is €203 for a double room, Easter Saturday is the priciest night at €245, Sunday is €190 and Monday is €157.
Trivago has stated that the availability of hotel rooms for the weekend is 33% at present, but the free rooms are expected to be snapped up closer to the time.
