Shoppers rejoice.
The Blanchardstown Shopping Centre is set to get a new multi-million euro makeover which will see a ‘new key store’ (note: we’re pretty sure this isn’t just a shop that sells keys) as well as 18 other retail outlets for us all to spend our hard-earned cash in.
According to the Irish Times, Multi Corporation, the management company for the Northside centre, lodged a planning application yesterday for the project which is set to cost €40 million. The 100,000sq ft extension will be located at the Red Mall side with a number of existing tenants being relocated to facilitate the development.
300 permanent jobs are expected to be created when the project is finished.
