There are multimillion-euro plans in the works to build a world-class science centre in Dublin over the next two years.

This morning The Office of Public Works will be publishing a planning application for the development. It is thought that the centre will take up the old north wing of the National Concert Hall on Earlsfort Terrace as well as opening out on to the Iveagh Gardens at the back.

According to the Irish Times, The National Children’s Science Centre will be known as the Exploration Station and is due open in late 2018.
