Flybe Announce Massive Sale From Dublin To This Underused Gem Of An Airport

Darragh Berry

We’re promised a cheeky little spell of sunshine this Bank Holiday weekend but knowing Ireland, it’s hard to tell how long that will actually last for.

So, with that in mind, it’s never any harm to have a few holidays backed up in the pipeline and when they are as cheap as this, it’s really hard to say no.

Flybe has announced fares from as little as €14.99 on flights from Dublin to London Southend Airport.

The discount starts on May 3rd and you have plenty of time as it runs until May 17th.

The sale is inclusive for travel between 10 May to 27 September starting from €14.99 one way

The same discount applies to flights from London Southend to 11 European destinations, including Budapest, Cologne, Lyon, Milan and Prague.

Flybe’s London Southend service, operated by Stobart Air, connects Irish passengers to the British capital up to three times daily.

What’s so good about flying in London Southend Airport? Well, it boasts its own direct rail link with fast and frequent train services, with up to seven trains per hour to and from London’s Liverpool Street.

It’s also conveniently located on the outskirts of the British capital.

In short, it has:

  • Dedicated railway station 100 paces from the terminal
  • As little as 5 minutes from ‘plane to train’
  • Up to seven trains per hour at peak times—minimum four an hour across the day
  • 45 minutes approx. direct rail transfer to Stratford Station, located next to the Olympic Stadium and Westfield Shopping Centre 53 minutes approx. direct rail transfer to London Liverpool Street Station.

If you’re looking for a quick but cheap breakaway, this is the one for you.

In the words of The Clash, London Calling.
