Dublin Pride Has A New Parade Route This Year – And Here’s Where It Is

katedemolder

Dublin Pride Parade is a beautifully colourful spectacle to behold.

A festival of light, laughter and acceptance – Dublin shuts down totally to show that love truly wins overall.

This year’s route is somewhat different to the last, opting for a different set of roads due to the ongoing Luas Cross City Project works.

Gay Switchboard Dublin posted the new route to their Facebook page.

They wrote:

”Due to ongoing construction with the Luas Cross City project, the 2017 parade will take a new route through the city.

The Dublin Pride Parade will occur on Saturday 24th June 2017.

The parade will assemble on the south side of Stephen’s Green from 12 noon, and begin to march at 2pm, first towards Christchurch, over the Liffey and will end on Smithfield Square at approx 3pm.

This will be the location of the Pride Village and main stage.

For more information on Dublin Pride make sure to check out Dublin LGBTQ Pride on Facebook.

The route starts at St Stephen’s Green, towards Christchurch, across the river and then finishing up on Smithfield Square as the map points out.

These roads will be closed off to vehicles during the day, details of which we’ll have closer to the time.
