Dublin Pub To Hold Free Christmas Feast For People Away From Home

emmakenneally

Sober Lane is fast becoming one of the most popular neighbourhood pubs on the south side and they are well known for their hilarious and often alternative marketing techniques. We’re well impressed with their latest announcement that they will be holding a free Christmas feast on Stephens Day for anyone working or away from home on Christmas Day. It’s great to see businesses getting into the true spirit of Christmas for a change!

If you’re lucky enough to be on holidays this Christmas and will be spending the festive season with your family, then why not help them out by dropping in some puddings or secret santa gifts for the guests at their feast. Check out their announcement below:

“Christmas can be a tough time for some people – especially for people who cant make it home. We’ve found it tough enough ourselves settling into a new city, definitely some homesickness now and then.

We are going to have a special Christmas dinner on Stephens night in Sober Lane D4 for everyone who can’t make it home on Christmas day. Theres no charge, no one should have to pay for Christmas dinner.

All we ask is that, if you can, bring a small secret santa present so we can swap and everyone can leave with a little something to make it a real Christmas. Don’t worry if you cant, we will get some spares.

Bring a friend or come alone, whatever feels right.

If you are lucky enough to have a great xmas with family and friends but would like to help – we would really appreciate any desserts, whatever you have yourselves on xmas day, mince pies, plum pud, whatever – drop it in on the day, or on xmas eve if easier.

If you’re going to join us, msg us if you can so we can get an idea of numbers – even the Sober Lane chefs struggle with the loaves and the fishes trick.”
