Fingal County Council has announced that 13 Dublin areas and their surrounding areas will be without water for a large chunk of the day.
Announced at 9am on Thursday morning, they said that a huge area of Blanchardstown will be without water for most of the day after a burst main.
As well as this, there will be a planned water outage in Rush between 10am to 4pm to carry out essential maintenance.
Water will be turned off in the Blanchardstown area until around 4pm on Thursday as a result of the burst.
The following are the affected areas;
Blanchardstown:
- Lohunda
- Ingle Wood
- Hartstown
- Blakestown Road
- Fortlawn
- White Chapel
- And surrounding areas
Rush:
- Whitestown Road to The Harbour (all Premises/Estates accessed from),
- An Tearmann,
- Brookford Estate
- Brookside Gardens,
- Channel Road,
- Linn Beag,
- Sandy Road,
- And surrounding areas.
In a statement on the site, the council said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this disruption.
“Irish Water is aware of this outage.”
