This Is When Ophelia Will Hit Dublin According To Met Éireann

James Fenton

Dubliners are being urged to stay indoors throughout the day as Ex Hurricane Ophelia lands on our shores at 1pm.

While it may seem calm out there right now, people are being advised to stay at home and not use the roads this morning even though Ophelia won’t hit the capital until this afternoon.

Conor Faughnan of AA Ireland told Ireland AM:

“We would say to people stay off the road.

“It might not seem so bad now but it’s the full day we’re planning so will say to people, stay off the road, if you are heading into work think about how you’re going to get home.

If it’s possible for you to stay off the roads, definitely that’s the thing to do.”

Ophelia will hit Dublin and Leinster at 1pm. Updates here
