World famous Italian film composer Maestro Ennio Morricone announced just today that he will perform a farewell concert at the 3Arena on Saturday, September 23, 2017.

He will not be returning to The Emerald Isle to perform after this as he turns ninety years of age this year.

Morricone is known as one of the greatest composers of our time, having composed over 500 scores for cinema and television as well as over 100 absolute musical works. He is the only film composer ever in history to have received the honorary Academy Award for his lifetime achievement.

The Maestro says of his lifetime in music:

“I have been moved by the passion for my music and the appreciation shown by Irish audiences on previous visits. I must play one final show in Dublin before I retire. I expect this to be an emotional and very special evening for all”.

As with previous tours, the production coming to 3Arena will feature over 200 musicians and singers on stage.

Tickets are not yet for sale for this gig, however tickets for his Valentine’s Day gig are currently on sale right here
