Fair City Are Having An All-Female Episode Tonight

katedemolder

Tonight’s episode of Fair City on RTÉ One will feature an all-female cast, paying homage to the March 8 celebration, International Women’s Day.

About a dozen female cast members and not one man will make up tonight’s episode of the long-running show. This is the first time the soap has celebrated International Women’s Day.

The story line sees the women locked into the famous McCoy’s Pub, followed by and endless amount of cocktails.

The show took to Facebook to announce their ode to the day that’s in it:

The post says in its entirety:

”Just another reminder not to miss Fair City on Wednesday for the all female episode!

Speaking about the all-female Fair City, Brigie deCourcy, Executive Producer said: “We’re so excited to air this very special all-female episode on Wednesday night which is a first for an Irish soap. Strong women have always been at the heart of Fair City, so we decided what better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than putting our Carrigstown ladies out front and centre in their very own episode. The programme has been months in the making, planning the storylines well in advance to ensure that all these characters collide on the same day and I really hope the audience at home will enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed creating it.”

And, RTÉ are only delighted to get involved in the International Women’s Day action. The national broadcaster took to Twitter to announce their female-focused delight.

Sounds deadly!
