A new shop called Sweet Republic at Bachelor's Walk is officially opening tomorrow and its selection of ice creams and waffles look downright filthy. In a good way.
What have they got, you ask? They've got waffle sandwiches, smores, a tonne of ice cream, and the most popular item on the menu, 'extreme milkshakes.'
If that doesn't sound tempting enough, the fact that they're having a sale on ice cream for the official opening tomorrow might just push you over the edge. That's right: €1 ice cream all day.

If you're trying to keep it healthy, never fear, they also do a selection of awesome-looking fruit smoothies.
A family business, the shop's founders have 20 years experience supplying cake decoration tools and materials and they opened their first Decobake shop in Athlone just four years ago. Today they've got five Decobake shops which provide baking classes and demos around the country, and now they've got Sweet Republic too.
Amy Coyle, manager and recipe maker for Sweet Republic, has said the response from the public so far has been "huge":
We've gotten over 3000 likes in three days on our Facebook and been really busy making milkshakes, waffle sandwiches and cookie sandwiches! We hope to open more Sweet Republics around the country.
Have a gander below to see some of the mouth-watering treats Sweet Republic has in store for your delectation and delight.

Dublin is glutted with literary magazines. They’re ten a penny; if today’s penny is actually €15 each. In 2017 Justine Carbery wrote in The Irish Independent “literary journals proved to be constant stars in a fluctuating market. Ireland, with its rich history of independent literary magazines, finds itself in rude health today with many new […]
(and Always) It’s never been more vital to support Queer-Owned Spaces in Dublin. Put your money where your morals are as often as you can. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I know that the people who run our bars, restaurants, and cafés shape the atmosphere more than the decor or the playlist ever […]
