Ten dogs, including five puppies, were seized at Dublin Port earlier today.
Customs came across the pups after officers stopped two men exiting a ferry from Holyhead in a van pulling a horsebox.
The two men are believed to be Irish and in their 50s.

No passports were present for the animals.
The dogs in question were Pomeranian and Spaniel breeds and are currently under the care of the DSPCA. An investigation into the incident is underway.
