A transatlantic jet travelling from Munich to Chicago had to be diverted to Dublin Airport last night after a passenger suddenly fell ill.
According to Breaking News, the Lufthansa flight LH-434 was more than three hours into its journey when the crew contacted air traffic controllers to advise them that a passenger had fallen ill on board.
The crew communicated that they needed to turn around and divert urgently, while also requesting emergency medical services to be standing by at the airport as they land.
It is understood a doctor was there on-site at the plane descended.
The flight landed in Dublin safely at 6.45pm. The patient, who has been reported as a man in his 50’s, has since been removed to hospital for treatment.
More as we have it.
