Cyclists of Dublin have long been calling for stricter regulations on motorists who park in cycle lanes and it seems they might finally be getting their wish.
Yesterday, Gardaí posted images on social media which depict a number of cars lining cycle lanes on a Dublin street. The caption reads 'DMR Roads Policing continue operation to combat illegal parking in cycle lanes.'

The post states that six fixed charge penalty notices were issued within the space of 25 minutes, all by just one member of An Garda Síochána.
Something to take note of if you're parking up to dash into the shops for a minute.
