Gardaí Appeal For Witnesses After Cyclist Dies Following Collision With Truck

A female cyclist in her late 30s died after being struck by a truck on the roundabout at Templeville Road and Wellington Road in Terenure yesterday afternoon.

The incident occurred shortly after 2pm and bystanders gave the woman CPR.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and transported the woman to Tallaght Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardaí closed the road where the woman’s bike and the lorry remained at the scene for forensic examination.

Gardaí are now appealing for witnesses that were in the areas of Templeville Road, Whitehall Road and Wellington Road between the hours of 2pm and 2:40pm yesterday.
