Golden Oldie – Billy Connolly’s Tour Of Dublin During Boom Time Ireland

I was looking through Youtube for something, when I stumbled upon this classic bit of TV featuring Billy Connolly touring Dublin way back in 2002. It was part of a series called Billy Connolly’s World Tour of England, Ireland and Wales and Dublin was at the very start of the tour. I loved it because it captures the city from a bygone era (seems strange to say that but 2002 is already 13 years ago) when the boom was in full swing with cranes dotting the quays. Billy hits up spots like the Cobblestone for some trad music, laughs his way around on his bike as only he can and paints a wonderful picture of our little city. An oldie but well worth a watch if you have a spare few minutes.
