Grafton Street Is Turning Into A ‘Star Wars’ Scene Today

seank

Storm troopers. Rebels. Darth Vader. The most memorable heroes and villains from the Star Wars movie franchise will be seen wandering Grafton Street today for a wonderful cause.

The Disney characters are out in force because today is the fifth annual Wish Day, where money is raised by Make-A-Wish Ireland to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses across the country.

You’ll see sci-fi costumed volunteers patrolling the busy street from 10am until 2pm today.

Make-A-Wish Ireland has recently granted its 2000th wish and with your help they do a whole lot more. Their aim is to raise more than €100,000 so they can meet their target of 210 wishes in 2017.

You can help make dreams a reality by buying a €2 wristband from one of Grafton Street’s Star Wars characters, making a one-off donation of €2 by texting WISHES to 50300, or donating online HERE.

We have a great feeling about this.
