A 76-year old has been left devastated after his parrot Corky went missing from his home in Hartstown Park, Clonsilla last week.
Paddy Gaffney’s African Grey Parrot managed to escape its cage after the man’s grandson left its door open.
The family are now offering a €500 reward to the person who can locate Corky. The loss of the bird has left Mr Gaffney deeply distraught.
He is so devastated, he put so much work and time into that bird, and he is his friend, his companion. This bird is more than a pet to him and it’s heartbreaking to watch his suffering.
Pauline Gaffney, Paddy’s daughter
The family believe that Corky may not have returned because it has flown into someone else’s home and that the person who found him may not be aware anyone is searching.
If you or someone you know have seen the parrot with grey and red feathers anywhere in Clonsilla or surrounding areas, please visit lostandfoundpet.ie here or contact Pauline Gaffney at 086 7865484.
