U2 play the final show of their four-night run at the 3 Arena this evening but it's not the only major event happening in town.

Over at the Aviva Stadium, Ireland's rugby team will be playing host to Argentina and, as usual with sporting events at Lansdowne Road, there will be a number of road closures in place.

Given the proximity of the 3 Arena to the Aviva, the traffic restrictions will like affect U2 fans as well and the Gardaí have issued a statement which outlines what you need to know if you're heading along to the gig.

From 2pm, the following roads will be closed to traffic:

* Lansdowne Park

* Lansdowne Lane

* Lansdowne Road from Shelbourne Road to Herbert Bridge

* Herbert Road

* Newbridge Avenue

* Bath Avenue

* Londonbridge Road

Additionally, these roads will be closed from 4.30pm:

- The remainder of Lansdowne Road from Shelbourne Road to Pembroke Road

+ Shelbourne Road

+ Beatty’s Avenue

+ Ballsbridge Avenue

More information on traffic restrictions today can be found here.
