Here’s How You Can Take Part In An EPIC Zombie Run This Month

seank

Well, here’s one way to get in the Halloween spirit this year.

Presented by Outset, Run For Your Lives will take place on Sunday, October 25 at Malahide Castle, after its hugely successful run saw 2,500 participants, well, run for their lives last year.

The event is a 5 kilometre zombie apocalypse-themed Halloween run, with lots of mud and obstacles to overcome, such as The Blood Bath, which offers you a choice: brave a zombie horde or wade through a blood-red river.

The course is suitable for all fitness levels, and you’ll have a chance to walk or run between zones. Runners (or ‘survivors’) can wear fancy dress if they please and they can also run in ‘clans’ (large groups).

A limited number of special edition zombie tickets will be on sale shortly. Most of the zombies at the run will be actors, but a limited number of regular people have the option to become the shuffling undead too.

For those of you hoping to be zombies, there’ll be full make-up transformation, with wax and latex to create 3D special effects. So you’ll look properly scary.

If Ireland get to the Rugby World Cup finals (fingers crossed), the match will be screened in the main area, so participants won’t miss a thing.

This is set to be brilliant craic, but if you need a little more incentive to take part, you should know that proceeds from the event will be donated to the Irish Heart Foundation.

You can book your tickets for the event individually or as a group here. It will take place at Malahide Castle on Sunday, October 25.
