Despite objections, plans to demolish Andrews Lane Theatre have been given the green light.
The former theatre and nightclub is to be converted into a budget hotel consisting of pod-like rooms, similar to those you’d see in Tokyo, according to 98fm.
Owners of nearby businesses have concerns over the effect construction will have on them.
However, Dublin City Council has granted permission to build the hotel as long as the height of the building’s capped at eight floors.
