Incredible Improv Music Afternoon This Saturday with Concrete Soup

fiodhna_hm

Got any plans for the weekend? If not, we’ve got you covered in a lovely, alcohol-free manner. Concrete Soup is a fun little collective that hosts improvised music afternoons filled with great Irish talent. Their events, which take place on the third Saturday of each month, consist of incredible concerts filled with music, visuals and dancing. This month’s edition will take place in Block T in Smithfield this Saturday from 4pm to 7pm. Hosted by the spontaneous composers ¡NO!, the beauty of Concrete Soup is you never know what to expect and you always leave grinning from ear to ear having danced your little socks off.

The first Improv Music Afternoon of the new year will see Diarmuid Mac Diarmada play a solo set on guitar and tapes, before finishing with a collaborative set with the music group, ¡NO!. It’s a booze free event but a great way to dance off all the calories you consumed earlier in the day at brunch. An afternoon spent with Concrete Soup is nourishing for the body and the soul. Afterwards, while you’re still in that neck of the woods, why not have a wander around Smithfield and check out the great restaurants and pubs it has to offer.
