The Weekday DART Timetable Is Changing Again Following Passenger Outrage

Kiara Keane

Irish Rail has bowed to pressure over the new DART timetable that caused rush hour commuters nothing but misery.

The timetable, which was introduced last Sunday, led to a huge amount of complaints from customers about overcrowding.

Irish Rail has now confirmed that they will be adding three extra services starting from Monday.

Two of them will be from Portmarnock – one at 7.29am to Pearse and another at 7.42am to Bray.

They’re also adding an extra service from Clongriffin to Bray at 7.45am.

In a statement published today, they said, ‘Iarnród Éireann believes that these changes will address the capacity issues that have arisen particularly at inner DART stations such as Harmonstown and Killester and the frequency concerns from customers from Portmarnock and Clongriffin.’
