Dublin's Marriage Equality Mural Has Come Under Serious Attack... From The Weather

There's one thing thing we can't change in Ireland, even via referendum

By and large the campaign for the Yes vote has been going well with super positive coverage, celebrities voicing their support and cross party support.

Joe Caslin's mural on George's Street, which went up to great fanfare a couple of weeks ago, was one of the most prominent and celebrated symbols of this – however Dubliners woke up this morning to see that one of the embracing men has been quite literally defaced.

But don't worry – it wasn't a well orchestrated attack by No voters, or a bunch of priests sneaking up on a ladder under cover of darkness. It seems it was caused by the one thing we can't change in Ireland: the bad weather.
