Just when we’d seen the last of Storm Abigail, along comes another named storm from Met Éireann.
This time round it’s Barney that we’ll be dealing with… And no, he won’t be a big friendly dinosaur.
We’re to expect gale force winds in Dublin, Wicklow and across western parts of the country as well.
A clearance to scattered showers will spread from the west this afternoon but it will become very windy or even stormy during the afternoon over the southern half of the country in gale force southwest winds with severe and possibly damaging gusts.
Be grand, sure!
