It's just been revealed that Conor McGregor may have his chance to fight in Croke Park next year.
UFC President Dana White revealed that Gregor will be allowed to fight in front of 80,000 people at Croke Park next year if he manages to beat Jose Aldo in this December's fight in Las Vegas. White told the NRL Footy Show,
If he beats Jose Aldo in Las Vegas in December, the next fight will be in Croke Park. We told him he could defend his title at Croke Park.
The fight would see McGregor defend his UFC featherweight title next summer.
The news may come as a surprise to some, after White cast doubts earlier in the year on the possibility of a Croke Park fight, due to concerns over the venue's curfew and the probability of rain during the showdown.
UFC 194, the deciding fight between Aldo and McGregor, takes place December 12 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.
