Great news if you’re planning a big family outing sometime soon: kids will soon be getting free public transport in Dublin and beyond.
Transport Minister Shane Ross and the CEO of the National Transport Authority Anne Graham made the announcement this morning, stating that children will be able to travel for free with Child Leap Cards at the end of July and start of August.
The offer applies to Bus Eireann, Irish Rail’s Commuter Rail services, all Dublin Bus, as well Luas and DART services, so we recommend you get as many trips in as possible.
Even better, this offer doesn’t just apply to Dublin – Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford can also be accessed with it.
The deal applies to Child Leap Card holders aged between 4 and 18, and lasts from July 25 until August 7.
And we’re not jealous at all.
