Drivers intending to use the M50 northbound have been advised to avoid if at all possible due to disruptions caused by a major road accident.
The seriousness of the incident has resulted in the J4 Ballymun being closed for the last few hours resulting in queues of traffic stretching beyond J5 near Finglas.
The accident took place around 5.30pm today and one person has been seriously injured.
