Our first ever named storm, Abigail, will be bringing her A-game to our shores for the next three days.
According to Accuweather we’ll be kicking off with some ‘gusty showers’ today before the storm develops into ‘soaking rain and howling winds’ on Thursday and Friday.
Oh the joy…
The worst of the storm is expected to hit the north and west of Ireland, but Dublin will also experience Aibgail’s strong winds over the coming days. Rainfall on Friday will be 25-50 mm from western Ireland to western Scotland.
These strong winds will cause travel delays, including air and rail travel. There can also be isolated power outages and tree damage.
Rainfall through Friday will be 25-50 mm (1-2 inches) from western Ireland to Western Scotland
