We know that it’s a must-see city but still, it’s nice to hear someone else say it as well.

The National Geographic Traveler have revealed their list of the top destinations for a trip in the next 12 months and lo and behold, Dublin is one of the firm favourites on the list.

Underneath a picture of Temple Bar on their list lies the name Dublin, Ireland and they are urging readers to finally pack their bags and make the trip to our capital before another year passes them by.

The guide asks: “Why go now: Feel at home in ‘Europe’s largest village.

“While home to almost 1.2 million people, Ireland’s intimate capital exudes a friendly, village vibe. Stroll around to discover Dublin’s historic Georgian squares, cozy pubs, and high-tech treasures, like the new Irish Emigration Museum and revamped National Gallery of Ireland Discover more about Dublin.”

They even add in a fun fact about how one-third of the Irish population is under the age of 25, that was something that we didn’t even know ourselves.

Dublin’s name fits perfectly in a list that includes the likes of Tbilisi, Sydney, Vienna and Malmö to name but a few.

Prepare for a lot more tourists to this beautiful city.
