There were some shocking scenes on the M1 yesterday evening.Â
Units from Balbriggan, Skerries and Swords fire stations rushed to the scene of an overturned car near the J6 Balbriggan junction.Â

Fire crews managed to safely remove the driver of the wrecked car who declined to be transported to hospital.

The scene was cleared within the hour but there were nightmare delays on the busy motorway.Â
