This weekend the capital plays host to a range of even more interesting gigs, ranging from up-and-coming artists to established stars.
The Iveagh Gardens's summer series leads the way with two particularly impressive bookings, but there's plenty of live music to look forward to over the next few days; here's our selection of the best.
Highly-acclaimed genre-bending performer St Vincent (Annie Clark) returns to Ireland once again for a very appetising gig in one of Dublin's most beautiful city centre parks. St Vincent's concerts are known for combining sophistication and spontaneity, and a venue like the Iveagh Gardens is just the type of setting she thrives in.
Back with a much-awaited album and a busy European tour to boot, it seems like these guys have the fire back in their belly after somewhat of a quiet period for the past few years. Make sure to head up to DCU's Helix Theatre to experience their old classics, as well as new gems from their recent album Strangers to Ourselves.
Matching tracksuits and falcons at the ready, friends! You can become an honorary Tenenbaum for one night only at The Sugar Club. Celebrate one of Wes Anderson's finest works following the screening with table tennis tournaments, appropriately named snacks ('Royal with cheese', anyone?) and tunes from Nightflight's Sol O'Carroll. So, "anybody interested in grabbing a couple of burgers and hittin' the cemetery?".

District 8 plays host to a mouth-watering combination of highly-regarded spinners this Saturday. Huxley's sound, which ranges from his earlier garage-influenced tracks to a more recent deep house texture of late, is sure to pair well with Voiski's carefully engineered atmospheric techno. A very solid booking for a nice, large venue; sure to be massive!
This Dublin-based duo, comprised of two former members of the band Jalopy, celebrate the launch of their debut album, Love Is Not Enough, on the main stage in Whelans this Saturday. These guys are far from strangers to the stage, having carefully honed a unique sound in an electric-folk style over the past few years, and this is set to be a very special one for audience and performers, alike!
One of Ireland's all-time music legends and a musician renowned the world over for the intimacy and energy of his live shows, Damien Rice's upcoming gig in the Iveagh Gardens looks certain to be an unmissable performance for any fan of the man.
