Plans Have Been Announced For The Redevelopment Of The Square Tallaght

James Fenton

A new local area plan has revealed plans for the redevelopment of The Square Tallaght.

The project was launched by South Dublin Mayor Vicki Casserly yesterday and will include the ‘redevelopment and enhancement’ of The Square Shopping Centre, as well as improved bus services, cycling and pedestrian links, and new schools.

The redevelopment is set to take place over the next six years and a six-week public consultation period is now underway, finishing on Thursday October 24.

Encouraging the public to get involved, Deputy Mayor Trevor Gilligan told 98FM “it’s only at public consultation state, this is your plan so make sure you make a submission, get involved if you’re in a community group or a residents association.”
