Search Dublin Restaurants By Photos - The Ultimate Food Porn

I started this blog to solve a problem for myself...I wasn't trying enough new places to eat out in and sticking to the same old spots. I solved that problem but then I started noticing a new one and it is something that has been bothering me for years...It is really hard to search for restaurants. Their websites are mostly shit with PDF menus, shitty design and no contact details. There are review sites and aggregators but I never really know if I can fully trust them. As I thought about it more I realized that what I wanted was a visual way of searching. Through food photos. So we built it. This is version 1 and there are 50 restaurants up there to see what people think of it and from there we will improve it over time.

How It Works

It is all pretty simple really as search is now available on every page. When searching simply click on "photos" and it will bring you back images for that category. You can also go straight to the Gallery and start scrolling through all the photos that are on there.

What Is Next?

There is a ton of really cool stuff that we can do with this as we take it forward and it is very important to realize that this is very much a BETA version. There is a lot of content to go into the site as well as new features but coming in the next couple of months will be...

  • Getting every restaurant in the capital listed.
  • Adding contact details, menus and maps for restaurants
  • Amazing user generated photos. So a group of Lovin Dublin community members out there snapping even more pics
  • Constantly improving search and filtering

Be as critical as you like in the comments. If you are a restaurant that would like to get in on the action just drop us an email. We can't get everybody live but we will get you added to the list. Do be warned that scrolling through this will make you very very hungry.
