Here’s one for all
you design enthusiasts: Fresh Talent is kicking off this weekend at
ID2015 Design Hub in Dublin Castle.

The exhibition aims to give the
spotlight to emerging Irish designers who have graduated in the past
three years.

Curator Angela
o’Kelly said of the event: “It is so important that young emerging
designers and practitioners are able to work across disciplines,
rather than just in linear subject areas. This enables real
sustainable career opportunities. The new creatives shown here in
Fresh Talent are pushing boundaries, focusing on user first designs
and working across disciplines. Nothing is a challenge, it’s a very
exciting time for design in Ireland!”

Among the featured
works at Fresh Talent are a wide array of pieces by Dublin-based
designers Cian Corcoran and Ahmad Fakhry of Designgoat, collections
from fashion designer Richard Malone and designs from up-and-coming
studio, Gazel.

The exhibition has
no shortage of goings on for all ages, with tours starting at 3pm
daily where gallery mediators guide visitors through some of their
favourite works. There is a host of lectures and workshops to choose
from, such as the Mini Makers children’s workshops, experimental
design sessions for dabblers, the Festival of Curiosity’s panel
discussion on the future of design, and even LEGO design tutorials. Yes, you read that correctly – LEGO!

You can find the
exhibition at the ID2015 Design Hub at Dublin Castle from today until September 20 and we can’t wait to check it out! For full details of the
exhibition, visit
