All Iron Man fans and general car heads should be super excited – you can now drive a €45,000 BMW i3 in Dublin for just €8.99 an hour and no per kilometre charge.

These electric vehicles are the latest offering from GoCar, a car rental service that arrived on our streets back in 2010 which has been described as Dublin Bikes for cars.

Regular GoCars are €4.99 at peak times and €2.49 off peak and a €0.45 per kilometre charge.

This move to electric cars is a game changer for the company, not only in terms of eco-friendliness, but because it also offers one of the best electric driving experiences on the market right now.

There are 10 locations where you can find the BMW i3:

  • Point Village
  • Mark Street
  • Merrion Square
  • Clifton House Fitzwilliam Lower
  • Greek Street
  • St Johns Road West
  • Ranelagh
  • Parnell Square
  • Earlsfort Terrace
  • South Lotts Road

You need to be a GoCar member and then, using their new app, booking one of these new vehicles is a quick and easy process.
