How about this for a class pre-Christmas day out in town?
Cavan four-piece The Strypes have just announced an all-ages show in Whelans on Friday December 22 but the doors for the iconic Dublin venue will be swinging open slightly earlier than usual.
The lads, who released their Spitting Image album in June will be taking to the stage at 2pm with doors opening an hour earlier.
It sounds like the ideal way to break up a shopping trip with family or friends and kick off the festive week with a bang.
Anyone who saw The Strypes’ set at Electric Picnic over the weekend will know just how great their live shows are.
Tickets go on sale this Friday September 8 at 9am from Ticketmaster.
