Marvel’s latest may be hitting most screens this week, but it will probably be there for quite some time.

Due to changeable Irish weather and their recent tendency for last minute announcements, Happenings haven’t featured much here in the past sadly. Luckily however, with the Friday’s forecast looking, well, acceptable, Merrion Square looks set to play host to Jeunet’s Amélie.

A 15th century British morality play might not sound like everyone’s cup of tea, but screening live from London’s Olivier Theatre tonight, this modern take on a British theatre staple is a visual feast that’s one of a kind.
Carol Ann Duffy’s adaptation stars 12 Years A Slave’s Chiwetel Ejiofor in the title role of a popular, successful man for whom everything changes when Death comes calling.
The production has received high praise both for Ejiofor’s magnetic turn, as well as its amazing stage design. If you can’t make it tonight, not to worry because you’ll get another chance on Saturday!

David Lynch fans will want to hightail it to the Light House this weekend for a night-long celebration of his most celebrated cult hit, Twin Peaks. Kicking off at 7pm with a Twin Peaks-centric table quiz, the Smithfield venue will also play host to a pre-screening party, complete with ‘Coop’ and ‘Audrey’ cocktails, a doughnut stand, and much more, followed by a special screening of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. Naturally, costumes are a must.
