Unless you’ve been residing under a rock for the last few turbulent months, you’ll be acutely aware that Donald Trump was inaugurated yesterday.
And along with his inauguration comes a whole array of protests, peaceful or otherwise, arguing that he shouldn’t be handed the most powerful seat on the planet.
Women’s marches are happening all over the world today to show their disdain at The Donald finally taking his (far from rightful) place as America’s president.
A march began in Dublin at 12pm from the Garden of Remembrance through the city and will end with a rally at The Spire at roughly 3pm.
Their aim?
We stand together in solidarity for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families – recognising that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.
The Women’s March on Washington is officially underway in Dublin:
Marches are also taking place in Galway and Castlebar.
