Paddy’s Day brings up a mixture of emotions for many.
Love it or loathe it, Dublin city centre on Paddy’s Day is usually utter chaos thanks to tourists, kids, booze hounds and students all coming together to do what they do best – pints.
However, there are alternatives.
Just like this Aware event – their 12th annual Harbour2Harbour walk, which will be taking Friday, March 17.
What’s it all about?
Participants can walk from Howth to Dún Laoghaire or Dún Laoghaire to Howth on a beautiful, but rugged 16 mile jaunt around Dublin Bay on Paddy’s Day.
As always, there will be a Halfway Hooley, with tea, coffee, music and refreshments.
Registration is currently open and available on Aware’s website.

It may seem mad to pay for a walk – but the profits are going to Aware – a charity that helps those with depression, a really really worthy cause. So skip out on a few pints and stretch the legs instead.
Your body will thank you.
