UPDATE: City Transport Is Back To Normal After Today's Incident, So We Can All Go Home

But there will be delays

Gardai and army experts halted transport services earlier today after the appearance of a "suspect device" in Dublin's city centre. However, it has since been revealed to be a hoax.

Townsend Street was cordened off by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal crew after a suspicious object was spotted on the street.

Gardai closed the street while the investigation of the device was being conducted, during which time Irish Rail suspended train services between Connolly Station and Pearse Station.

However, with confirmation from the Garda Press Office that the scare was just a hoax, Irish Rail says it is once again running a full service, but to expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
