If you're looking for something different to do this Saturday night, there's a fundraising event happening in the Wright venue for a very worthy cause.
Over the past seven weeks, men and women have taken on the task of learning how to box in order to partake in this white-collar boxing event to raise money in aid of Spinal Injuries Ireland.
The White Collar Boxing Night has been organised by Lee Kenny to raise money to help those and their families who have been affected by spinal injuries.
The event will see 36 people of all nationalities box it out in the ring on the night to help raise funds in the Wright Venue in Swords with tickets priced at €15.
Lee spoke to Lovin Dublin about all of the hard work that has gone into putting the big fight night on which will see 18 fights take place on the night.
He said, "We've all been training twice a week for seven weeks now along with the white-collar boxing crew in Abs Fitness in Glasnevin as it was closer for everyone to get to and train.
"Now that the big night is coming up, everyone is getting really competitive for their fights - but it's also been a great laugh with everyone. A lot of us have gotten a lot healthier and some have even shed a few pounds training."
Lee took part in a similar event a few years ago and has always wanted to host one himself to help out a good cause.
He said, "This is the first time Spinal Injuries Ireland has done anything like this and I'm the same with organising it so it's all really exciting.
"It's for a great cause and we've been getting a lot of support from friends and family."
Your €15 ticket will not only get you into the big event, but you will also get admission to the Wright nightclub afterwards included in the price.
There will even be a 'lucky dip' on the night and those attending can buy a lucky dip for €5 and there could be a prize in your envelope including anything from gym memberships to gift cards and more.
Doors for the White Collar Boxing Night will open at 7pm, with the first fight due to start at 7:30pm.
If you think this is something you would be interested in going along to (under 18s are welcome to the fundraising event) - you can buy tickets online here, or you can get the limited number that will be on sale at the door on the night.

Dublin is glutted with literary magazines. They’re ten a penny; if today’s penny is actually €15 each. In 2017 Justine Carbery wrote in The Irish Independent “literary journals proved to be constant stars in a fluctuating market. Ireland, with its rich history of independent literary magazines, finds itself in rude health today with many new […]
