September is a time of new beginnings, and it often brings the desire to redecorate your life, your wardrobe, your gaff. Just me? Well, either way, this macramé workshop at The Fumbally is right up my alley.
Studio Foklore is running one of their last workshops of the year, this time in the gorge Fumbally Stables. A boho haven fitting for a boho craft.
Throughout the class, you’ll use the basics of macramé to create “unique compositions” using recycled cotton rope. All workshops are geared towards beginners, so no prior knowledge is needed.
What is macramé though? Well in case you’re not familiar with it, macramé is the art of tying decorative knots. It’s done by hand, without needles, by weaving threads or cords together into simple or intricate knots.
The workshop includes all necessary macramé supplies as well as tea, coffee and light bites to keep you fuelled up.
There are two sessions, a plant hanger tutorial from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and a wall hanging tutorial from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sessions are small and intimate, limited to only 12 people so act fast. Tickets cost €55 and you get yours
