While I tend to worship at the altar of Murphy’s ice cream, I am partial to the odd Magnum when at home – especially when it’s this hot outside! Now I’m not talking about any of those fancy pink or coffee ones that they’re marketing at the moment – a good old classic white chocolate Magnum does me just fine. It’s the perfect ice cream when you’ve popped down to the shop to grab milk or loo roll or whatever, and you find yourself craving a little treat.
So you can imagine my excitement then when I discovered that Arnotts are launching what they call a ‘Magnum Pleasure Store’ in their shop tomorrow. Essentially you’ll be able to pimp out your Magnum in the same way you’d add toppings to a frozen yoghurt, but with more decadence and less healthy eating. Think honeycomb, popping candy, chopped nuts – with 15 different types to choose from.
A quick scan of the web shows that this is a campaign that has been running in cities across the world, and it has finally come to Dublin. Now, this current heatwave could just be giving us notions about ourselves but I reckon will be first in line for one of these bad boys tomorrow. We’ll have the works please!
