This Annoying Speeding Trap Is FINALLY Being Removed

katedemolder

An infamous speed-trap, located on the N4, is set to be removed in a bid to save drivers from constant consistent fines and penalty points.

The tricky spot is situated near Liffey Valley, between the Deadmans Inn and the M50, and will be gone by February as a result of ongoing discussions between Lucan village councillors and South Dublin County Council engineers.

Speaking to The Echo, Councillor William Lavelle said:

“I am happy to report that agreement has been reached to eliminate the ridiculous 60kph zone on the N4 eastbound at Liffey Valley between the Deadman’s and the M50.

I know many Lucan drivers who were hit with fines and penalty points at this spot. The limit in this area will be 80km/hr until it reduces at the M50 interchange. The changes are due to be formally adopted at the February Council meeting.”

The location is absolutely notorious for catching drivers off-guard and locals have been plagued with regular fines and penalty points for years.
