This Beloved Dublin Restaurant Has Reportedly Closed Down

Alana Laverty

Sabor Brazil on Camden Street has reportedly closed down.

Customers posting on the restaurant’s Facebook page claim to have received a text message confirming that it has ceased trading and people are absolutely fuming over deposits, vouchers and bookings made over the last few months.

As refunds were not mentioned by the restaurant in the notification to customers, it is now feared that all deposits and payments to the restaurant have been lost.

The restaurant reportedly required €50 as a deposit on reservations, which many people may have now lost for bookings in the coming weeks.

A significant amount of people also recently purchased GroupOn vouchers for the restaurant, which are now worthless.

The restaurant is understood to have taken deposits for bookings as recently as Friday but today informed customers of its closure.

One comment under the post says: “I have a reservation this Saturday and just got a message from you guys saying that you’ve closed and wouldn’t refund my money “due to adverse financial difficulties” you’re going through.”

Not good.

The circumstances surrounding the closure are not known. We tried reaching out to Sabor Brazil but the owners have yet to reply.
