We imagine returning library book a day a or two late is a common occurrence but this is pushing it a bit.
Marsh’s Library in the city centre took to Twitter yesterday to share a photo of a book that was returned to them that had been taken out in the 19th century.
The 1666 copy of ‘The Book of Common Prayer’ was returned by Roy Byrne of Monkstown.
Roy Byrne of Monkstown found this 1666 Book of Common Prayer with Marsh’s stamp and returned it to us. Missing since 19th cent. Thanks, Roy! pic.twitter.com/ChDV0PXT3Y
